Summer is winding down and the winter holidays are still a few months away, but it’s the perfect time to spread some Elfster cheer in a unique and thoughtful way.
We know that you love giving, and that you love participating in gift exchanges on Elfster. We are excited to announce our first ever Meet and Gift exchanges that will allow users from all over the Elfster community to connect and give to each other.
To participate, you can sign up for the exchange that interests you. For August 2015, we are kicking things off with three exchanges:
The Postcard Exchange will allow you to quickly connect with another person. Gone are the days of old-fashioned letter writing, but you’ll be sure to make your secret pen pal’s day a little brighter when they get your message in the mailbox. Postcards may be original, store bought, handmade or photographs—all are welcome
The Summer Book Exchange gives readers the chance to swap books. Connect with other Elfster users all over the world who share your love of books. You can create a wish list of specific things you are interested in reading, or if you’re up for anything, ask for the chance to be surprised by their top pick. And be sure to check out your secret book lover’s Elfster wish list to get to know their interests.
Finally, our Hometown Favorites Exchange will allow you to send something special that represents where you are from. This could be a food item, something from your local sports team, a product made in the area, or anything that represents you and your hometown. Share your hometown pride and enjoy getting to know about someone else’s too.
You may sign up for the exchange until August 15th. Then, we will draw names and match you with another generous Elfster user. You can spend some time looking at their wish list, and even send them some questions to get to know them better to figure out the perfect gift. Your name will be assigned to another person that will be sending a gift to you. We ask that all gifts be sent on or before August 31st. And please, if you agree to participate, be sure to send a gift. We don’t want anyone to be left out.
Once you receive your gift, be sure to take a picture, and use the thank you note feature on the exchange home page to not only send your thanks, but to share a picture of your gift with the group.
